Although the current diagonal is 2", all my current eyepieces are 1.25" (6.5 Morpheus, 12.5 Morpheus, ES 24 mm 68). I also read that the C8 was designed to be optimal using a 1.25" diagonal. Would you get a 1.25" or 2" diagonal for this scope? The light in an Amici diagonal bounces off the prism surfaces 5 times verses one for a mirror or 90 degree diagonal prism. Most of the time you won't notice it unless you test them side-by-side.

The secondary is thicker than the original secondary by ~ 5mm. I also offset the diagonal by ~ 4mm towards the primary when glueing it to its holder. These two reasons used up most of the room for height adjustment away from the primary.

Rather than take it apart or find a Q-tip to probe it, I blew some air though it. If you can't get air to pass through, it's a prism. Don't eat Cheetos first.
