It gets pretty dark out without streetlamps on the road and when I push the turn signal stalk forward, the white light with an A turns on where the speedometer is. There is one catch, the high beams never turn on! WebAutomatic high beams with proximity sensors on cars should be illegal. This technique just doesn't work properly yet. The high beams reach further than the sensors that detect oncoming traffic do. So you are still blinding upcoming traffic even though the technique promises not to do that. I don't get how this is legal.
