Use manifold vacuum to set ideal advance for idle and cruise, then set the mechanical curve for WOT. Also, ported vacuum is the cause of a lot of overheating problems. The ideal idle spark advance is 20-30 BTDC, not 8-12.

WebJun 18, 2005 · Vacuum is not created by air passing a venturi, it is simply the difference between atmospheric pressure & a lack or lesser amount thereof. The only difference between ported & non-ported or manifold vacuum is the ported port is above the throttle blades. This is not where the venturi is. css teamsWebMar 6, 1999 · Manifold vacuum, which is the present in the intake manifold, is the main source. It powers systems like the power brakes, heater controls, diverter/air management valve, etc. The manifold vacuum signal is high at idle and even higher when decelerating at relatively high engine speed with the throttle valves closed. earlyadopter.co.krhttp://www.ifsja.org/tech/fuel/egrvacuum.html cs steam代码A major difference between ported and manifold is timing when there is or not vacuum advance.
